Originating in 1988 as a research-oriented firm, Breveon, formerly KorTeam International, was initially funded in part by NIH grants and led by world-renowned speech recognition experts. Today, Breveon develops and markets specialized vocabularies and advanced speech recognition solutions for dictation, transcription, and clinical data management. Breveon's strengths include an in-depth knowledge of healthcare documentation workflow and practices; experience in developing advanced speech recognition technology, expertise in creating an easy-to-use, intuitive graphical user interface, proficiency in medical specialty vocabularies and language models, and a thorough understanding of database operations and integration.
Breveon also holds four U.S. patents: System and Method for Generating Database Input Forms; System and Method for User Controlled Insertion of Standardized Text in User Selected Fields; Speech Recognition System and Method with Automatic Syntax Generation; and System and Method for Converting Voice Mail Messages and Electronic Mail Messages.
